Hudson Valley Towers

Affordable | Reliable Tower Service

DSC_2837
Hudson Valley Towers was started by Ray Higgins (W2RE) and Lee Imber (WW2DX) in 2008. There was a clear need in the hobby for a service where fellow operators could obtain expertise for a shack to tower service. The hobby has exploded with bleeding edge technologies and advanced hardware and all of this can be very overwhelming. Antenna and tower construction can be complicated and require knowledge that can only be obtained through years of hands on experience. Don't risk your investment and health when we are here for you.

Who are
W2RE and WW2DX?

Ray was licensed in 1987 as KB2FHL at the age of 22, he now holds the call W2RE. He has been active during this time chasing dx and also contesting.
His wife is Lori KB2HZI and his youngest son Bobby KC2UPN. Lori has DXCC and Bobby is learning the tower business at the age of 15.
Ray is a active contester with many accomplishments in the SOA category, has won CQWW and ARRLDX SSB USA. He prefers CW, but excels in the
phone category. His station consists of multiple towers, including stacked monobanders on 10-15-20, 3EL 40M yagi and 80-160 wire 4SQ arrays.
He knows towers and antennas, been experimenting for many years to find the right combination to make his own station click.
You can catch Ray in the major contests or in a pileup for a new one.

Lee was also licensed in 1987 at the age of 12, novice call was KB2CLQ then KF2PC in 1995.
